chatbots slowly killing self-help books?
Second, the market for information is collapsing into the chatbot. The market for transformation—for sitting with one mind, at length, on a subject it has bled for—might just get smaller, weirder, and more interesting. I’d bet on it. In a way, we’re reverting to the earlier days of the Internet.
A phase where there’s a dip before the novelty wears off, or a permanent change?
I’m currently reading the book, Beyond the Hallowed Sky, which describes an all-seeing predictive AI that knows your every want and need before you even do. Perhaps that’s the future of self-help? (I sure hope not).
