My own long-term approach will involve working towards the route above........

Naomi, my wonderful wife, has put together this frankly, phenomenal, post on 'Effective Training Strategies Part 1: The Process" after reflections upon our return from Spain.

 

One of the benefits of time away is an opportunity to reflect, learn (or re-learn), educate, motivate and dedicate to learning more in developing oneself. Improvement takes time, dedication, and consistent deliberate practice. I plan to write up a group of posts linking alongside Naomi's covering my own evolution in the hope that it gives ideas for others - not that it is possible to exactly follow what worked for me, as you're on your own path.
